Oral Health for Total Wellness
Oral health and physical health are not mutually exclusive; in fact, they're directly related. What goes on in your mouth can affect you from head to toe. This philosophy of care is called oral systemic dentistry.
Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi take an oral systemic approach to care, not only taking care of the problem that may have brought you to the office, but also resolving the cause of the problem that may or may not have anything to do with teeth. For example, if you have a cracked tooth, Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi can restore it to health. But he'll also uncover the reason the tooth cracked in the first place - perhaps a misaligned jaw - and solve that problem as well.
Why is the oral systemic approach to care so important? Because the health of your mouth can have a tremendous impact on your wellness.

Oral DNA Molecular Testing and Genetic Susceptibilty Testing
Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi offer their patients the benefits of the latest diagnostic and testing system for periodontal disease risks - Oral DNA Molecular testing.
Oral DNA Molecular testing provides accurate information about the pathenogenic bacteria present in your mouth that may be responsible for gum disease. Testing for Genetic Susceptibility to gum disease will allow Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi to develop a customized care and treatment plan to help prevent any problems before they appear.
Are you at particular risk for stroke? Heart disease? Cancer? Oral DNA Molecular Testing will provide you with accurate results so you can take preventive measures.
The test is painless and quick. Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi will simply swab your mouth to collect saliva and skin cells. After the sample is collected, it is sent to a special laboratory for evaluation. Dr. Villaroman and Dr. Hayashi will then call you with the results.
